What is the Box Build Process?
A typical assembly of a box build product usually consists of most if not all of the below processes:
1. Sourcing – this means identifying qualified sources for all needed components or materials
2. PCBA Fabrication – this consists of mounting the components onto a custom PCB whether by SMT, manual soldering, cable assembly or other processes.
3. Mechanical Part Fabrication – this is the production or purchase of the various mechanical parts needed
4. Sub-assembly – this entails assembling smaller components together, such as wire harnesses or modules needed for installation, as well as pre-assembly of the enclosure itself
5. PCBA Assembly – this is the mounting of the PCBA(s) into the enclosure using standoffs, screws, or adhesives.
6. Integration – This includes the connection of the PCBA to other components via wire harness, cables, etc. as well as adding any other mechanical or electrical parts and sub-assemblies
7. Testing – Komaspec will test the fully integrated product for safety, functionality and any other defined critical to quality aspects.
8. Packaging – the final product is then labeled and packaged as per customer requirements.
